Low Voltage Tree Light Kits
Remco have been manufacturing
Turbolite and Ufolite low voltage Treelite harnesses since
1985 when the Low Voltage Directive for Christmas tree lighting
was first introduced. We now specialise in supplying Christmas
tree lighting requirements for many Local Authorities throughout
the UK and our 24 volts and 48 Volts Tree Lighting Kits
have become very popular as a safe method of lighting town
centre Christmas trees. The low voltage lamps have a rugged
filament which has a much longer service life and withstands
the harsh treatment of installation better than a conventional
240v lamp, the lamps are protected by tough high-impact
plastic lenses which have a unique design and disperse
the light in a brilliant twirling maze of colours (12 colours
are available). In addition our low voltage light harnesses
are less than one-third the weight and one-third the running
cost of conventional festoon harnesses, and are designed
for continuous use in any environment.
Each kit comes with a suitable
BS3535 S.E.L.V. Transformer housed in a weatherproof enclosure.
Turbolite
Kits
30 metres
(100ft) Harnesses with 50 Turbolite cabochon on each.
The lamps are long life (3000 hrs.) and available
in 2 voltages 24v and 48v. The SES (E14) lamp is protected
by a coloured high impact 60mm dia. Turbolite refractive
lens.
Each 30 metre 24 volts Harness draws
250w (10.04amps) of 24v power supply (1.04amps of
mains.)
Each 30 metre 48 volts Harness draws 400w (8.3amps)
of 48v power supply (1.66amps of mains.)

Ufolite
Kits
30 metres (100ft) Harnesses with 50 Ufolite cabochons
on each. The lamps are long life (3,000 Hrs) and available
in 2 voltages 24v and 48v. The MES (E10) lamp
is protected by a coloured high impact 40mm dia. Ufolite
refractive lens.
Each 30 metre 24 volt Harness draws 150w (6.25amps)
of 24v power supply (0.625 amps of mains)
Each 30 metre 48
volt Harness draws 160w (3.5 amps) of 48v power supply
(0.7 amps of mains)

American
Pealite Kits
A 'close-up' view of an installation of our popular
24 volts American Pealites, each harness is
30 metres (100ft) long plus a 4 metre tail, and
there are 100 ice-white Pealites units/harness.
The lamps are long life (10,000 Hrs).
Each
30 metre Harness requires 30 watts (1.5 amps) of
power supply (0.5 amp of mains).

Large
scale installation of 24 volt American Outdoor Pealite
System.
The 24 volts 30 metre harnesses
are each fed to connector blocks which are inside
waterproof junction boxes (approx. 6 harnesses per
junction), these junctions are then fed down to
the appropriate size BS3535 transformer via our
figure 8 cable (part code 8BLACK).
Fitters should make sure that
transformers are in or as close as possible to the
tree to avoid voltage drop on the LV side of transformers.
